Edward Cook, who was hired as the Director of Athletics at South Glens Falls in August, no longer holds that position. The school hired former Hudson Falls athletic director and football coach Tom Heinzelman, who worked his first day at the school Tuesday.
South Glens Falls Superintendent of Schools Michael N. Patton released a letter to parents on the school’s website Monday detailing officials were unable to discuss why Cook no longer worked at the school. He did state, “We can say that there was no illegal activity, and no students were directly impacted.”
Cook, who replaced Nick Fitzgerald (now the principal at Cairo-Durham), previously served as an athletic director at Carmel and Beekmantown.
